Beware: Flying Panties!

Another show is up and ready.

This week we look at the story of a chorister heading to Iraq, Kiri Te Kanawa goes to court to avoid getting hit by ladies underwear, dance fever hits the Grapes of Wrath, and we say farewell to Gian Carlo Menotti.

We welcome back Brian MacGilvray, Matt Boresi and Oliver Camacho.

There may be a few time in the show where it seems like we are all talking over each other and reacting to nothing. For some reason this episode was a mess when recorded. Much of it was out of sync. I did my best to clean things up but it took so long that I eventually gave up! There, I said it.

Episode 14 - Beware: Flying Panties!

You cannot fathom my delight over the fact that the infamous "merkin" made it onto the most recent show. Having had numerous discussions about the hoohah toupee and its place in theater with the creator of this podcast, I'm glad to know that is is still in the forefront of Mister
Rice's mind as well as breaking news in our field.

On a more serious note, Menotti's works have played a rather large part in my tiny "fledgling" career, having participated in 2 productions of THE CONSUL as well as 2 productions of AMAHL. Sure, it can be hit or miss with the big GC, but both of these pieces are lovely and have touched my life as well as the lives of many others. Indeed, RIP, Gian-Carlo Menotti, and thank you for your contribution to the operatic stage.

And yes, "you can't put the cart before the horse"...long live Gabe's Babe. I give this show 8 out of 10 solid silver bars.
